It's a lovely little stretch of sandy beach with plenty to do for all ages. There are rockpools for the kids and a host of bars, cafes and even a nightclub for everybody else.

Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. Both left and right reef breaks. Best around high tide.

Nice beach - convenient. Tamariz beach is a nice beach on the coast of Cascais. Along the train line of Lisbon-Cascais there are a few small sandy beaches surrounded by natural rocks: Tamariz is one of them. It's convenient because the train stops there, there are cafes and restaurants, along with a promenade side walk that leads to Cascais.
