From February 1942 to July 1944, she protected 30 convoys of 1,380 merchant ships manned by 90,000 sailors, losing only 9 ships sunk by enemy U-boats. Instead of sinking any U-boats herself, she fought 4 U-boats, either garrisoning them and keeping them away from merchant ships.
